Not drawn to black in fashion for myself but for the home and in art it always draws me in. The black pile of clothing burying her feet by Guerra De La Paz I particularly enjoyed because I feel in new york we are overwhelmed and consumed by the color black.
I’ve made no attempt to cut myself out of the picture with the mirror pieces as it was part of my experience at the fairs. Shown works from Art Basel, Pulse, Scope, Art Miami, and Aqua Art. There were certainly many metallic inspirations to draw from at all the fairs.
Art Basel Miami which has been lovingly referred to as the Olympics of the art world has kicked my butt and it’s only my second day! My eyes are feeling it for sure. Had to post about these experiential pieces that have stuck with me. I loved the gold shiny gem cabinet piece is by […]

I devoured Clinton Kelly’s new book called, ‘Oh no she didn’t’ full of Clinton’s unabashed fashion observations which could have been called, Oh no he didn’t! A quick read which I recommend. Sometimes I laughed so hard I cried. He rips the top 100 faux pas to shreads. Some of my favorite pages are in […]
How was your Halloween? How is it that we now have 3 nights of celebrations? I’m missing the simplicity of trick or treating and egging houses. But I digress. This year I had the wonderful honor of judging the costume contest at Gilt City’s Monster Mash organized and curated by the uber talented Adam Aleksander […]
She helped me create not just outfits but a style statement for how I go out in the world in the morning. She’s given me a new sense of confidence, especially when I go to professional meetings Marci L
