Hotels in Paris

I stayed at the Hotel Le Five and booked through tablethotels.com. I definitely recommend this site for booking chic modern hotels because they do include ‘budget’ hotels ie not hostels and extend good deals that are not available by booking the hotel directly. The Five is not large with only 24 rooms but the décor is fantastic and the service even better. I had such a great experience despite the size of my room being comparable to my accommodations on the boat in Greece because of the concierge Matthieu. He went beyond the call of duty with arranging reservations, arranging to have my garment pressed, and general inquiries. The location is technically in the 5th but really on the border of the 14th be prepared to walk, taxi, or velib (bikes easy to rent on the street all over Paris) to the hot spots. Metro locations and connections are not so convienent. The breakfast however is sugar based so if you want eggs you can pay a 19 euros for a bigger buffet at their sister hotel 7 which is also very chic. My room had good build in storage so despite the small size I was able to really move in and hang my clothing and store all my things in a floor to ceiling storage unit that also had a desk. Don’t expect to be able to really hang out in the lobby-it’s also super tiny comprised of  seating for 6 people. No true restaurant, but a breakfast room, no bar, no in room fridge, and a lack of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Luckily I jetted off daily to the first, the fourth, and the 8th. Overall very good value and I would return.

During my research here are some other hotels worth checking out:

Hotel d’amour

Hotel Seven

Mamashelter

Hotel Duo

Hotel Particulaire
