When I travel I’m always on the lookout for the one of a kind and special pieces. I don’t always find it. Flip flops and fake designer sunglasses are every where but conceptual is not. Especially on the less touristy and smaller islands. I was delighted to discover a very cool shop in Sifnos is owned the stylish and charming Zoi who stocks many unique pieces and accessories. Apollonia on the main street you can find Aggiri.
I got a wonderful dressy jumpsuit which I can’t wait to wear during fashion week in New York there by an Athenian designer named Ioanna Kourbella. Her artistic creations play with shape, bias, and drape in a way that is both ancient Greek and modern at the same time. A real find. I found that I’m not the only New Yorker to fall in love. Sadly they do not have a shop that carries them in the states right now so travel is mandatory to enjoy her creations.
