Last week I spoke about bright colors and cautioned to be prudent in your shopping. However, there is an exception to the rule: Universal colors are bright-ish and are also flattering on most skin color types. You might be familiar with these colors as they tend to be staples in granny catalogues. They’re smart marketers; they know their color science. These colors work because they aren’t too cool or too warm: coral, teal/jade, aqua, and lavender. Ever notice that scrubs are commonly done in lavender blue? These colors are a great way to get your bright color fix, and I’m seeing coral, teal, and aqua in the department stores currently. Happy spring, and happy shopping!
