Attended the opening day of Bridgehampton Polo which is usually THE top summer event to attend. This summer and this particular Saturday there were 19 other events happening so it has in a sense divided the scene. My press pass was courtesy of Jason Strauss and Sam Ong publicist of Strategic Group who is working with the SWAGG mobile application Lounge- the most pumping tent at the event. DJ, bar, popchips, passed nibbles, crumbs mini cupcakes, and crushing crowds around celebrities with the paparazzi which follows them. I saw at least 4 desperate housewives of new york city- Ramona Singer, Jill Zarin plus husband, Kelly Bensimon plus camera entourage, and Bethany Frankel who has her own new show. Also spotted was Kourtney Kardashian Devorah Rose of the now defunct High Society who I have a hard time viewing as a ‘celebrity’. Aside from the sweltering heat, the polo match that most in the tent ignored, and shallow conversations for me the most interesting part of the event was this Danish intern here in NYC for the summer wearing Sara, and a few creatively dressed men.
