Meet Stylist Alexandra

How do you describe your style?

Effortless Manhattan chic devoid of the stuffiness. Always with a touch of the unexpected.

What is the most exciting moment you’ve had as a blogger?

I don’t consider myself a blogger but a personal stylist whose business needs to maintain a connection to the market. I get a real kick out of helping my clients raise their personal style to the next level.

What do you love most about boutique shopping?

I like discovering indie designers and buying one of a kind items.

What are your three most prized possessions?

My health, my sanity and my grandmother’s very unique pearl necklace.

What inspired you to create your blog?

I have been expressing myself online since 1999 when I founded ProveReal.com, a fashion and nightlife image-driven blog. I was always ahead of my time. When I moved to NYC and started getting serious about styling I started blogging because I wanted an outlet to speak my mind. I was fed up of print media’s unrealistic editorials. I wanted to show women that style can be easy and down to earth. It’s focus has become to support my business as a personal stylist. My potential clients can get a taste for me and how I operate.

What do you love most about blogging?

Instant gratification. Global reach.

What are your favorite boutiques in New York City?

Catherine Malandrino, Trina Turk, and Fragments.
