NYC is home to hundreds of amazing designers and it’s exciting to see new ones pop-up on the scene year after year. What is more exciting, is to see a designer who isn’t jumping on the “let’s grow and manufacture in china, use polyester and make cheap goods” bandwagon.
Newish designer Ariana Rockefeller has been selling limited quantities through trunk shows, pop-up shops and using luxurious fabrics such as silk. She’s also keeping the production local to New York City. But this does come at a premium. Prices are in alignment with the cost of producing in New York City but that’s a good thing. This season she is offering the perfect peplum jacket. The Malu jacket is available this season in black sparkle or pewter sparkle at her pop-up shop store at 498 Broome Street from November 3rd-November 29th.
